Hacked!
I finally hacked my G1. It wasn't my most smooth hacking experience. I failed a couple of times before I could finally boot it up. At one point, I thought I was gonna brick my phone. Thank god this didn't happen. In any case, G1 hacking is pretty straightforward. No soldering. Actually no hardware tinkering at all. I'm now writing this post on my G1. It feels good that I finally really own this phone now. Eat this, google!

The death of Sansa C250
My little Sansa C250 died. I copied a bunch of songs into its memory and then it would never wake up. Maybe too much music can do harm to this little thing. It's been only eight months after I welcomed it home. Now I'm living: dias sin sansa. Amen!

Pink eye
昨天早晨起来，眼睛有些痒，也没在意，就去上班了。上班时候遇见的第一个人是Teresa。她一看到我就很惊慌，问我说你的眼睛怎么了？你还要坚持上班吗？等等。我从她的问题里学到了Pink eye这个用语。我想我的眼睛一定是有些红，不过既然只是pink，应该也没关系。Teresa这个小丫头也太大惊小怪了，这点算啥，我自己都没什么感觉。于是我就在Teresa面前表现了一把大义凛然，表示要坚持工作云云。
不一会儿，我去洗手间的时候顺便照了下镜子。OMG! 我变成吸血鬼了。我的眼珠上血丝密布，整个白眼仁都是鲜红鲜红的。原来pink eye也可以是这么血红。怪不得Teresa这么紧张。
回到家，给Stella看我的眼睛。Stella先做无比温柔状表示同情，然后马上指出我弄丢了眼药水，自作自受。对此，我报以我凶狠、血红的目光。

What now?
Apple's new OS X won't support my PowerMac G5.
Although my G5 is slower than my laptop, weighs like a T-Rex, takes a lot of space, uses more energy, generates more heat and noise, got a bent handle after we moved from Seattle, so on and so forth, it's still one of my favorite computers that I've ever owned.
How joyful I was the day when I took it home!

June!
It is June, the month when all the fun things happen! And I'm looking forward to my xx-th birthday too. La vida es buena!

I drove for 2 hours this morning to a little town near Baltimore. I had to send a "repair order" card to the Maryland's police department, otherwise my license plate would be suspended! Not a great way to start my favorite month of the year. But, at least there was no traffic on my way. Now let's hope those people would process my card right away, because today is supposed to be the last day for me to turn in the card. I wish I would've done this much earlier. But you know, I've been busy, real busy...

seriously.lacking.sleep
The excitement of the new house hasn't worn off. Every minute when I am home, I am looking for things to do about the house. A little picture that needs to be hung on the wall. A pile of magazines that has to be sorted. The backyard. The tomatoes, peppers and eggplants that I just grew there. Birds, rabbits that are visiting. So on and so forth.
Even when I get into the bed, I have to turn on my new shiny flat screen high definition digital TV. I have to go through all the new fun channels. Twice. Just in case I miss something in the first pass. But I end up watching nothing, because I am too sleepy.
Just wishing Saturday is tomorrow, which happens to true today. I'm so happy.

Just in case you haven't heard, there is an amazing bank robbery story at: Here. It happened in Monroe, which is a small town near Seattle that I often pass by when we go hiking. I wish the guy never got caught, although he could've just robbed WAMU. Bank of America has treated me well :-(

I've been reading news. I've been watching TV. I think this is loud and clear. Americans hate China. Maybe they don't hate you and me as a person. But when 1.3 billion people come together, they are scared, and they hate to be scared. They hate China.

Seattle moves up list of top U.S. tourist destinations; now No. 18 - Puget Sound Business Journal (Seattle):
According to Global Insight, Seattle is now the No. 18 in the list of top U.S. tourist destinations. This sounds all good until I studied the list more carefully. NYC, Orlando, Las Vegas occupy the top 3. And then Atlanta is No. 10, Phoenix No. 11, Dallas No. 13, and Houston is No. 15. OK, maybe I don't know enough about Atlanta or Phoenix to give them a fair judgement. But who in their right mind would go to Dallas or Houston for their vacation???? I love Houston and all, but my love is not blind.

Go! Mariners!
I'm going to a Mariners game this Wednesday. In case you don't know who are the Mariners, that's Seattle's pro baseball team.
Maybe I should go home to refresh my baseball knowledge. So when Stella starts to ask questions, I will look like an expert! Let my American friends be amazed. Or better, I just sit far away from them :-)

OK Supersonics?
Somehow I missed the news. Apparently, when I was in Yellowstone, it has finally been settled. Seattle's Supersonics will start their new season in the OK city.

Now I don't have to feel guilty about supporting the Rockets when they come to visit the Space Needle. They won't, again.

Sony-Ericsson C905
This is what I want for my next cellphone: a Sony-Ericsson C905.Other than making phone calls and listening to MP3s, I find the most used feature on my cellphone is the CAMERA!!! I need a camera with me all the time so that I can take useless pictures of all those little interesting things. And this one has a 8.1M camera with image stabilization! No iPhone, please, really. I want a Sony-Ericsson C905.

1. I just found out that renting a studio around DC area costs more than what I pay for our little house in Seattle.
2. I don't think it'll be soon that I learn how to swim, and my gym card is expiring in another two weeks.
