对N800的热度依旧。昨天下了一些电影格式转换的程序。Nokia自己的格式转换程序似乎对DivX格式有问题。后来我用了一个基于mplayer/mencoder的程序。一个电影转换完了大约400MB多一点。格式是400x200，25fps。在N800的屏幕上看效果很好，字幕上的字也能看清楚。我的2G的卡只能放4部电影，似乎有点少。也许我应该进一步压缩。不过考虑到N800的电池看电影只有5小时，4部也足够了。N800也能放Realplayer格式的电影。不过我在网上下的天龙八部放起来画面有些跳，声音倒是很联贯。Realplayer格式的电影我不知道怎么转换格式。这点比较麻烦。
N800上的媒体播放器界面还不够酷，不过今天看到了Canola新版本的预告，酷毙了。iPod的分辨率不如N800。N800如果在界面上再下些功夫，超过iPod是很显然的事。

I just ordered one from Dell for myself. I might need to get some help from you to set it up. BTW, I mis-read the descriptions "usually ships 1-2 weeks" and I thought it was "1-2 days", so even with next day delivery I won't get it until 12/20. :(
Wow, Nokia should pay me for getting them a new customer!
By the time you get it, the final version of the new OS should probably be ready. That'll save you some trouble.
You will love it. It's a perfect toy for a geek. In case you don't, I don't mind having two :-)
