Puma is "cougar"
And apparently a panther is a puma, how could Apple used the same species twice? They need to hire a biologist before OS launch.
From the NIH site, looks like panther is a name used for leopard, jaguar, tiger and lion. Puma is puma. But then what is a cougar?
Puma also has common names as panther, cougar, and mountain lion. Lion and tiger are Genus Panthera, puma is Genus Puma
