歌词

那一天从federvol那里挖过来Wallflowers的One Headlight的时候，他说他喜欢这一句歌词: "I turn the engine, but the engine doesn't turn"。嗯，很巧妙，也无奈。

我喜欢琢磨歌词。虽然一首歌一开始抓住人的总是旋律，但是有时候歌词是让我记住一首歌的理由。

比方说Goo Goo Dolls的Iris的这一段：

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah, you bleed just to know you're alive

好像很惨烈。第一次听到的时候颇有些被打动。


只是总把眼泪啊血啊之类的字眼写在歌词里有时显得做作，所以也会喜欢另一种风格。Eddie Brickell的Good Times里唱

You don't even have to try
It comes easy for you
The way you move is so appealing
It could make me cry
Go out driving with my friends
In Bobby's big old beat up car
I'm with a lot of people then
I wonder where you are

平淡无奇，但特别是最后两句，是一种很熟悉的感觉。


情歌也有不同的唱法。Roxette在Queen of Rain里唱道，

All I knew was the scent of sea and dew
I've been in love before, how about you

很沧桑疲惫的样子。已经碎了心。现在只想随便问问。但是后面又唱道，

It's time to place your bets in life
I've played the loser's game of life

心还是不死，劝人再赌一次。


一直喜欢Sheryl Crow。一句If it makes you happy, then why the hell are you so sad？爽快。还有一首Redemption day，里面的这一段是我的另一个favorite:

长长的一段几乎每一句都压韵，开始拖得很长的拍子，中间突然变快，象火车一样冲过来，让人喘不过起来。


当然一定要提R.E.M的Losing My Religion里的这一句：I think I thought I saw you try。如果你没有注意过，下次听到这一句的时候试一下跟着唱。注意发音。会是很有趣的舌头体操。为了这一句，可以喜欢上R.E.M.
